Cera de ortodoncia VITIS is wax that works as a protective layer to prevent irritation and rubbing from orthodontic appliances, and it also relieves pain.
Cera de ortodoncia VITIS is intended for application to orthodontic appliances that protrude from teeth (brackets, archwires or metallic bands) and that can therefore cause sores from rubbing against the tongue or internal cheek surfaces. The wax works by forming a thin protective layer to prevent the appearance of lesions
Indications:
Cera de ortodoncia VITIS is indicated for all orthodontic patients. Its use is advisable during the first few days after the orthodontic appliances have been placed and after subsequent adjustments.
It is also useful before visiting the dentist if any of the parts of the orthodontic appliance should break or become detached. It can also be used any time discomfort is experienced during treatment.
How to use:
Spread the wax over the orthodontic appliances that are causing discomfort so that it forms a thin protective layer.

INTERPROXIMAL CLEANING...
is essential to achieve 100% complete oral hygiene, but if you have braces, the importance of cleaning between the teeth and of removing any food debris from around brackets is multiplied.
Advice for orthodontic patients:
1. Brush your teeth after every meal with a toothbrush that allows for cleaning braces and teeth at the same time, persisting in the areas of the braces that are difficult to access.
2. Choose a toothpaste formulated to solve the main problems facing those with braces: one that prevents decay and cares for sores caused by rubbing and which contains anti-inflammatory and healing agents.
3. Supplement brushing with a mouthwash that reinforces the action of the paste to more easily accesses hard-to-reach areas.
4. Interdental cleaning with dental floss and tape, interproximal brushes and oral irrigators.
5. Examine brushing results with a mirror to make sure no food debris is left behind.
6.Avoid using incisors to cut food os objects.
7. Do not eat sticky foods that can accumulate on the braces, or excessively hard substances that can cause braces to break or become detached
8. Limit your sugar intake to prevent the onset and development of tooth decay.
9. If your brackets or arches break or become detached, contact your dental clinic and follow any instructions provided.
10. Clean removable orthodontic appliances with effervescent tablets.
11. Use orthodontic wax to protect oral mucosa or tongue from rubbing against orthodontic appliances.
